I've already received a few PM's from people here about what a nice thing I'm doing. While I appreciate the kind sentiments, my main motivation is nothing altruistic. I just wanted to get those dykheads into trouble.
Thanks for the offer, but DavidsonLaw was nice enough to take this further. Not sure when a restoration can be arranged. We could use your help when that time comes. I'm pretty sure permits are needed.
I've also contacted the people responsible for the restoration of historic sites at Red Rock Canyon when they were vandalized. If they can't help, they can probably offer direction. There doesn't appear to be anything of value under graffiti, so sandblasting may be all that is needed.
So, I'm heading up there tomorrow with the camera crew. Went up there this afternoon to scout, and BLM has "No Trespassing" signs on every approach I could find on the map. I called the TV producer, and he says that he got specific permission from BLM to head up there, so that makes me feel better. Didn't want to get filmed by a TV crew trespassing on closed land!
Anyway, I'll let you guys know how it goes, and when they'll be putting it on tv.
I don't know whether you should clean your jeep or make sure it's dirty ?
Either way I'm down to help clean it up! I used to do graffiti when I was younger (never in public, only on a fence in my back yard) and love it when it is actually art done in an appropriate place, but hate when it is just some scribbles on some one else's property
Well guys, had a really fun time out there in the desert with the tv crew this morning. I think it went well, and it should be on Channel 8 tonight at 5 and 6. Hopefully I don't look like an idiot. The news guys showed up in a mercury mountaineer, and while the trail wasn't too difficult, they scraped at a couple of places heading up the mountain. The news guys seemed to be having a lot of fun with this.
Well ... the teaser is up on the News 8 website ... I don't think that I look like too much of a goofball. Interesting thing about this video is that it was shot with an iPhone. The stuff that'll be on tv tonight was shot with a full blown video camera, but this teaser was just shot with the iPhone. Kinda crazy.
I tried embedding the video, but couldn't figure it out.
