For the power and torque gains considering weight, ease of tuning/install and cost. Supercharging it is the best answer...IMO. The reason diesels make more torque is the compression ratio. If polka(theoretically) raised his compression ratio to the 19:1 that most diesels run, it would also have 700-900 ft/lbs, but it's wouldnt stay together and many other issues(theoretically) the added weight of the v-8 further reduces overall efficiency too. Emissions is another reason to just supercharge, it doesn't cause the PCM issues a v-8 causes. Don't get me wrong, I know there's no replacement for displacement, but you have to consider the gains per dollar that supercharging gives, and it's actually incredible, otherwise oem companies wouldn't pour so much into forced induction.

I think the v8 grands weigh about 200lbs more than the I6 versions.

I just got an email from the HOA to clean up the small amount of weeds that grew on the side of my house and put away a trash can somebody tossed from the street in our yard or face fines. Meanwhile this is what's laying around the hood. oops I reduced the pic size by 40%. I guess I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.

I have a meeting set with my boss tomorrow. Where I will probably either be quitting or a raise. Wish me luck. I may be calling the marn for some back breaking cheap labor.

Anybody want to do a trail ride on sat? Thinking about going on the trail besides. Valley of fire that goes into lake mead. I have never done it,but with the temps being below 80 it should be nice

The low temps are very tempting. You're talking about Bitter Springs ... make sure to take time for playing on the rocks. I'd go but I just did that trail with some folks from out of town a couple of months ago. Good news is that it wasn't as smooth as it has been historically. You can't do it in a minivan anymore, unless someone's gone and plowed it ...
