When we got to the lake we ate lunch and walked/drove around quite a bit.
Ok, and where abouts do you end up at the lake? I'm guessing near Callville? Just came back on Lake Mead Boulevard?

Which Valley of Fire entrance? I'm guessing the one right off 15? Do you pay to get in the gate or is the trail before the gate? And how long would it be to do?
It looks like they did Bitter Springs for the first part. You can get a google earth file here:

Not sure about this one yet.
Saber toothed tiger perhaps?

Follow that trail south to North Shore Rd. and avoid the toll booth.
Cool, thanks. I will try to do that one soon.

I wish. That might be worth something. A saber claw would be around 4-6 inches and looks nothing like this.

It really looks like a black bear claw, but there aren't any around here.

Make it very soon before the heat gets unbearable. Today wasn't too bad with temps, but there's no shade at all out there. Also, it's not a good trail to run solo. Very long and no cell service most of the way.

It is not all that it is cut out to be. Aside from phone calls and video chats I am alone all day...I get bored. The worst is that I am currently working on a legacy system so I am not improving my knowledge of current technology

You know that you love it!!!

Note to anybody that buys a used jk soft top. Make sure the header has the metal support. I changed mine out yesterday and it fixed all of the wind noise that I was getting. I guess Jeep originally put a plastic support that would warp really bad. The guy I bought the top off, never took it in for recall to replace it with the metal one... so I had to buy one myself. but it was well worth it.
