the mud is always fun until you have to clean it. I used to avoid the mud in texas, then turn red when the wife rode up like she hit every patch.

Ok, marn, trail run post!!! Next Saturday, I wanna go check out the mojave trail. Sirhk got me wanting to go with his pics. Should probably head out early to avoid some of the heat, so I'm thinking meet around 8ish(early for swing shift) fill up in primm an go from there. We could meet at ysb's meet spot. Obviously plans are subject to change, but everyone's invited!

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!

Sounds like fun, but I think I'll be short notice for another trip to Texas. There's a mine near where I'll be staying and there are still plenty of hogs to kill.

While you men are in Primm, don't forget to pick up your lottery tickets.

The good: Awesome snow camo design & no sun rot
The not so good: It has what looks like a few white paint spatter drops on it (hard to tell with all the camo)
The just plain sucks: The two rear plastic buckles are missing on the driver side, have to just tie a knot or replace.
The completely bites: I didn't notice it wouldn't fit my LJ before I bought it.

Anyway.. First $25 gets it, figured I'd toss it out here before I listed on CL for more

Meanwhile.. I guess I am gonna stick with my basic black one. DOH!
Pwr's wifee nixed his plans for the top, apparently the pattern was too awesome for her taste still up for grabs if anyone else wants it before CL

I would be down but I have to work that Saturday the 5th. Then going Maine the next weekend. Then camping the weekend after. I'm pretty full up for a while. I've been wanting to do that trail since I read about it in a off road article.

yes, the rubber bushing should just be starting to buldge basically.

as for the pliers, they called them duckbill pliers but i'm not finding them anywhere online for a example to show. The 2 pairs he lent me are both snap on and I'm looking thru their webpage and not even finding the ones I have. Basically they're like needle nose pliers except when you squeeze they open. Also, the teeth are like serations on the outside of the prongs rather then the inside where they'd normally be. One pair has like a square end and the other pair is almost like a "J" shaped end.

All I know is I own a couple different types of standard type snap ring pliers. none of them worked when I did my SYE. I spent close to an hour plus getting the two rings off back when I installed the kit a few months ago where last night it took seconds to remove them using the right tool! I'm about to head out right now and slap it back in place...

closest I've found so far but still not a good shot of what they are. You can see they open when squeezed and the outside edge is serrated for grip on the ones I have. They're about 3/8" wide. These are similar to one of the two pairs he let me borrow.
