So 140 is plenty for rocker and bumpers? How about Hobart? That's Miller right? How do I jump two 110's? That doesn't sound safe for some reason.

Powr, thanks for the hospitality. Nice seeing everyone again. Sorry I wasn't the best company tonight. I'm still not 100% yet. Hope you all enjoyed the cake.

Polka, 220 is easy to wire if your breaker box is already in your garage. I bought a Miller 220 off Craigslist and I use it for everything. The actual model number is Miller 187 I think. I don't think they make it anymore. Stick with Lincoln, Miller or Hobart. And a good 110 machine will do Rockers and Bumpers but a 220 would give you a little more flexibility and it would go quicker.

Thanks for the input. We can't add a 220 here it's just a rental and the breaker box isn't in the gayrage. This house is a cookie cutter stucco wonder. I'm going to look into the 120's.

120 will do what you need but make sure to get one with the gas setup or at least capable of converting to gas. Fluxcore is okay but welding with gas is just much better. And the only time you'll want a 220V welder is once you try welding with one. LOL, until then you will think your 120 is just great... LOL, consider it a thing of ignorance! HAHA... But seriously, a 120 is more then enough for up to about 1/8" steel, especially if prepped right. 220 is just that much nicer though.

On a side note, productive weekend but not as much as I'd hoped. Cleaned the garage, installed new whirlybirds on the roof, got a friends dirtbike fixed and out of my garage finally too! Felt like crap most of yesterday which set me back. Didn't get my tcase dealt with like I'd hoped. Oh well, there's always evenings this week...

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!

To all who came to the BBQ, thanks for coming and thanks for the extras. You guys were great. Thanks for coming. There will be a 4th of July party here too, and should be epic...mine usually are. You guys are definitely invited to that too.
