Anyone else watching the fights? So far, I'm not at all impressed. Not much technique tonight. The main event is almsot here. That's really all I wanted to see. I like it when there's a genuine anger involved.

The most complete guide to Southern Nevada historic mining.
I went up to Angel's Peak with a friend and my four year old today. Pretty fun drive, locked the rear diff on a couple of sections due to traction issues. Some guy tried the first big incline ahead of me in a Dodge pickup and failed epicly. I wondered what he was thinking when I just went past him and boogied on up the hill.
Anyway, on the way back down I had a little warning "bing" about three miles from US 95, but by the time I looked, the light had turned back off. This happened about three times, and then the engine, all the electronics and everything else just died. There had been a strange smell that I didn't recognize a few moments before, but come to find out it was the smell of battery acid! It was all over the interior of the engine compartment. (I've since rinsed it out.) I got it in my head that I would just roll the thing down to the 95 so that my wife or a friend could bring a battery, but when i put it in neutral, the jeep didn't roll. My buddy jumped right out and gave it a push, and we were able to get it to the street. Once a new battery was in place, everything was right as rain.
As a second note it happened twice with the same Jeep. First with the battery that was in the Jeep. Replaced it and it happened again. Replace the alternator and another new battery and haven’t had a problem since. Jeep has since been sold though.
