I was thinking about that panel years ago. I was trying to find a donor panel at the salvage yard I could cut up, but TJ's are never in local yards.

I heard somewhere out in the desert is an aircraft graveyard. Sounds like a fun place to explore. Anyone know where it is?

I drove to baker yesterday and still waited about an hour.

I've used it before. Works exactly like explained. Just make sure you read the fine print to get all of the details

Not the one you're thinking of but I've been to this one MANY times growing up! Back in the late 80's it was open to roam thru but then idiots started breaking out windows and stuff so they walled it up. I've also heard about a MASSIVE one in the mojave somewhere too.

I want to go to that as well. I hear the Salton city is an up and coming oasis with nice beaches.

LOL, if you enjoy the smell of sulfur/rotting eggs!

Truckhaven is pretty badass and they have their offroad testing park there now that looks awesome but I haven't been since they built it. I pretty much lived in ocotillo wells on weekends growing up with my parents and up thru my mid 20's. It's been years since I've been back there though. IMO Ocotillo Wells is more fun on bikes, quads, buggies, prerunners. Truckhaven though is a blast in jeeps and 4WD vehicles!

Do you need special permission or is it open to the public? I know YSB will want to drive around it and shoot out of his window so is that ok too?

Yeah, idiots always mess it up for everyone else. Perfect example are the mine closures. We've been seeing pallets of what we thought were cement bags outside of mines west of Goodsprings. They've been emptying these bags in the mines and using long hoses, flooding the mines.

We went back over a month later to the same mines and found the floors were covered with about 10 inches thick of a grey, jello pudding-like mess. I'm not a fan of seeing bars over mines, but I would prefer to see bars than to see them destroy history like that. I wish I took pictures of the bags on the pallets so I could research it a little.

The one in ocotillo wells is privately owned. And it's also state park so I'm guessing YSB would be screwed there! LOL
