This was on CraigsList a while back. Your dogs would make great guard dogs!

What size tires and gearing?

I'm on 31's and 3.73 gearing with a 3-speeds trans. I once was passed by a schoolbus uphill. I hope to regear to 4.56 soon so my Jeep won't mind hills so much. Might even get better MPG since it wouldn't be working as hard.

BTW, if anyone has an automatic trans out of a 6 cyl Jeep YJ they want to get rid of or know a lead on one I know a person in the market. I believe it's a TF 999 transmission if my research is correct... Just tossing it out there!!!

And anyone with a JK that needs a 6 speed trans I still have one I'd make a smoking deal on!!! LOL

If you posted up on Craigslist that you're having a garage sale featuring your kickas s tools and parts, you'd make a killing! I don't even need anything and I'd go just to see what I can't afford.

Sirhk, after that shift knob was installed, one of my tires feels out of balance. I think the knob has a design flaw.

Probably should take it to the tire shop and have the shift knob balanced. I don't remember who but I know one of the shops offers lifetime balance. Might be worth while depending how hard you use the big black hard shaft!

So on my lunch break on friday I picked up a new stereo for my jeep cause it stopped working about 2 weeks ago. Had a $100 gift card that I mentioned I couldn't think of anything to use it on. Then on my way back to work from best buy it dawned on me that maybe it was just a blown fuse... Well sure enough... I replaced a fuse and got the tunes back in the jeep Sat night after spending all day doing tile work. It's so much nicer to have music while driving!!!Also, the transmission swap lead to me having to relocate a few wires going thru my firewall, some of them being for my amp/sub combo. Well I guess that rewire just sorta fixed an issue I was having with that too! Love when things like that just sorta happen! LOL Now I've gotta track down a couple rattles the sub is causing and put some damping of some sort in to deal with them.

So now I've gotta brand new car stereo... I'm trying to figure out if I should return it or maybe just put it in my truck. That stereo in there is beat to crap and I think this new one would install in the dash which would be pretty nice rather then having it ziptied to the floor like my current one is! LOL

Don't know the difference but Cobra is obviously a great brand name and the uniden 510 has been around forever it seems so either way you probably won't loose...

Which one is clearer and sounds better? I personally like the Uniden because it's small and it has larger knobs. I get frustrated with those little buttons.
