It runs great, but there is a really weird grinding noise from the front axle or transfer case when 4wd is engaged. SKIP. Dont want to get into driveline problems.
How bout this?

Just saw the pics of that one. I've learned to stay away from the ones that have armor all all over the motor. They pressure wash them and spray that on them to mask fluid leaks!

He called me back, just said that it was low on trans case fluid. No more grinding. I'm going to go drive it again tomorrow.

I 2nd that. I've been trying to teach my wife in her dads BMW but the clutch is a little tricky to learn on. We are taking my old Toyota out this weekend to practice.

I think she's had a 5 speed in the past. She gets very high anxiety when she drives. Having another thing to do is just too much.

Do you guys know of a trail that you think would be safe during rain?
I had set aside this saturday to go hit up a trail or two, but it definitely looks like it's going to rain now. I don't want to get caught out in a flash flood or something, so is there anywhere I can go that's going to be safe?

If memory serves, and it's about as bad as Ysb's, so this shouldn't be trusted, Kodachrome should be ok. It's behind Frenchman mtn and is accessed by taking lake mead blvd toward the lake and keep an eye out on the left before the toll booth. There's interpretive signs where the trails start. Nice little set of two or three decent trails.
