Kinda pricey for a old Jeep that's blowing smoke but cool none the less.

I had to read several posts before I figured out why you couldn't go through a wash if you were training.... What kind of training precludes one from going through a wash?

But then... I saw what you did there....

I thought Cherokee's would cost more than Wrangler's. Looks like you should be able to get something nice within your budget.

Does anyone else have a Spot Connect? I just picked one up yesterday and have a question that isn't answered in their website.

I paid for the basic subscription and the 100 message plan for $30 more. Is that 100 messages a month or per year? Since the site wasn't clear, I'm going to assume it is 100 per year which isn't much.

Bring it back. They have bad reviews. I did a lot of research on them. I came up with this one. No annual fees and they run on better system. But if it's the messaging your after you got the right one.

Yeah, I researched a while before deciding on it. From what I saw, it seems that most of the complaints were from people using older Android firmware. I haven't seen anything recent that would indicate a design flaw.

I also considered the ResQLink, but I wanted something that could distinguish between soft and hard emergencies. If my Jeep broke down, I really wouldn't want to call out rescue. Spot Connect allows me to send out custom messages for soft emergencies. I just wish it could also receive messages.

DeLorme has a product that sends and receives messages, but I think their monthly fee was around $40. For $50 a month, I could get a satellite phone.
