nah, she noticed it right away, because right before the hose blew she said the temp was a little warm so she turned the AC off and was rolling the windows down. No sooner did she get the windows down she heard the hose go and watched the needle jump.
No "clanking" on mine, it just rocks real heavy back and forth when you try and turn it over.

Was wanting to know if any of you Vegas guys have a HP30 laying around that I can snag from you. My LP30 is kicking the bucket and if I'm going to be replacing the front I want something "stronger".

Or anything else that will work with a 98' ZJ. HP44, etc etc

I used to be able to get front axles up in Seattle for 50$-100$ all day long (working) so nothing too expensive. I know that XJ's have the HP30 in them from the factory, but 200$ + for a turd (pic a part) seems a bit over the top to me.

But let me know what you guys all got and the price you want.

Crappy. I cannot imagine that it cooked anything though if she pulled right over. Possible that you blew a head gasket though.

Check your oil for coolant, and vice versa, if there is any coolant left in the system.

Worst case scenario, engine swaps are easy.

I'm gonna be selling a real nice 2005 Magnum with a 5.7 hemi in it in a week or two....I'll give ya a good deal!

Either ride the wagon as is, or take the drive line.

Hemi cherokee anyone?

Who has a 231 that's in GOOD condition and works 100% and who wants to do a trade for my 231 which has a SYE installed on it already?

I know a few trails around here, but I have never been to Mormon Wells. What part of town do you live in? I live right next to the strip so anywhere in the valley is basically the same time drive.

What's the catch with the 231? Why are you going away from the SYE setup?

Also, I pulled an axle with a friend for his ZJ about a year ago from the pic-a-part on boulder and they only charged us $100.
