Last week I spent some time underground. I've been sick all week, so I haven't posted these until now.

Where was that, Davidson?

I just looked through the Zappos climbing section. Lots of nice stuff in there. I wish I'd known about that before I bought my replacement gear. Some of it is a little cheaper, but I still like to hold things before I buy them. I still haven't embraced online shopping.

I'm starting to feel better, thanks.

First you drive to Baker, turn left towards Kelso, then 19 miles later you turn left onto the Aiken Mine Road. 4.5 dirt miles later, turn left, head up to the parking area and hike the rest of the way. It's short.

It's an actual lava tube, and you can see some really neat stuff in there. It's not a challenging bit of exploring, there's actually a ladder into the entrance. You do need to do a little crawling (or at least stooping) to get to the more interesting room pictured.

Polka-crop dusting!! :laughing so hard food nearly came out: that's seriously nasty, my kind of activity. I love it. Any reactions?

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!
