I think he got home at about 10:45. We made it almost all the way back until we were east of the 15 on blue diamond. He pulled into a gas station got some more fuel then he got home. Next time I won't be so lazy and I'll grab my trail tools, tow strap, and jumpers. Live and learn.

Somewhere along that trail is rumored to be a lost diamond mine which would make sense since just a few miles away was signs of volcanic activity.

Way back in the horsie days, a guy traveling through the area came across some blue mud oozing from a crack in the rock. He took some home to Utah and found the blue mud was full of rough diamonds. That area was never found again, but the legend remains of Blue Diamond Road.

Go get rich!

I just wanted some gojo and rags. Nothing like your wife making you change and put your 1 year old to bed before you could fully wash your hands. Surprised she was not covered with grease when she woke up.

Also, that area at the top where we took that break was where my wife found some large silver nuggets. Both nuggets were about 5 ounces total. Not worth much since silver is only selling at just over $50 an ounce.

We all get lazy sometimes assuming that everyone else will be bringing their gear with them which is usually the case. I think we all got each others backs. Just don't be that guy that NEVER is prepared.

I posted pictures the day we found them. I'm too lazy to look for copies, but if it means that much to you, feel free to find the pictures somewhere in this thread.

OK...I couldn't find the picture of the silver nuggets, but those are some amazing pictures of your time in the mines.

Again thanks to everyone for helping last night. I know better then to go some place unprepared, and feel bad that I held every one up. Something like last night wont happen to me again.
