I think the recommended top speed is 45-50 MPH. I wouldn't trust all those moving parts on rocks. Should be good on sand, but since it's so abrasive it'll need regular maintenance like a tank.

I have seen those over the years and they are cool as a novelty thing, but just not feasible for many applications

Around here it wouldn't be practical. Not knowing how much angle and pivot is built into them, I wouldn't think they would perform at their best on a snow covered Wheelers Pass. No doubt it would make it over, but I don't think they were designed for rocks.

If you live somewhere further north that gets regular snow, I might prefer something like that to even the best snow tire on the road. I spent some time in Chicago and I could see them as very practical on their winter streets. Not sure if they are DOT approved.

They are more like those Artic Cats. Flat long runs in the snow or sand. Pretty useful if you have to run away from "The Thing".

Everyone must be watching the game. It's awfully quiet around here.

Not me. I'm trying to fix a plumbing issue. I had a faucet hose leaking, so I go get a replacement. It's about 2" short. 20" was the longest they had so, now I have go find one just a little longer on game day, just as the plumbing specialty stores are closing.

"The world will hear our engines roar!" oddly patriotic. I agree, awesome commercial.

Great ad very stirring. Only problem is being owned by FIAT. Still good. I may watch dirty Harry tonight though.

So, anyway. About the game. Tom Coughlin was the first coach of the Jaguars. My team. That's as close as the Jaguars will probably ever get to winning the Superbowl, so I'm going to consider that a win. Go Jaguars!

That was a good commercial. I felt very patriotic and even choked up a little.

Aww... Marines are so sensitive. I remember so many times in Iraq, petting the heads of Marines as they sobbed quietly in their racks. They're so precious.
