No worries, I'm just getting back into fishing myself. This is where I thought I'd try first. As I understand it, it's mostly a gravel road with some sandy patches Gov't Wash Road. Maybe we can set something up for this Saturday or Sunday, whatever works for you.

It's all good man, as long as she gets running again. You got a lot farther than I would have before calling in the calvary, that's for sure.

Edit:
Another, More remote place to try is Boathouse cove

Here's pretty sweet map of the Lake Mead area with trail numbers. I have a full size paper map somewhere around my house.

I think either day will work for me. I might have to work on Saturday, but I should know by tomorrow what my schedule is. I've got no idea what kind of fish are in lake mead. Any advice on tackle?

Here is some information courtesy of the Dept of wildlife. There's some info about what fish are down there any what lures they like.

If you don't already have one, you'll want to pick up a fishing license, Colorado river stamp, and possibly a trout stamp. They sell them at Wally World.

As for tackle, I'm just going to throw my box in the Jeep and see what works.

Anchovies works good in Lake mead.Rebel gas station in boulder city carries them (live baits). If your fishing for stripers ive caught them with top water Rapalas or spinnerbait.

Ive dived out at Boathouse cove, but didnt find the boathouse. There was quite a bit of fish out there last time I was out there (many, many moons ago....).

Another bit of news... My Jeep looks like it will be sold to a guy in Colorado. New Unlimited, here I come. (fingers crossed...)

Awesome. Almost all my fishing on Florida was salt water but I've got some spinners and a lot of topwater stuff, so I'm not.worried. Excited to just ride, enjoy the weather, and spend some time relaxing

EDIT: Looks like I'm free Saturday and Sunday so whatever works for you guys I'm game

Can anyone recommend a "tire store". Obviously I know I can go to Discount...places like that. Just wondering if anyone "knows" anyone lol. For now I just need new tires on my GF's Civic. Just looking for the best deal I can since I'm paying for them.

I would find them the cheapest online and then get a local shop to price match +shipping. That's how I got my Mud Rovers.

Sounds good. I usually work at 6 am so early is easy for me. Any ideas on where to meet up? Right outside the park or a gas station possibly?

Discount tire, the one on flamingo and decatur. Talk to jeff and tell him Joel, with the jeep sent you. Lol. He takes care of me. And my friends. I've bought like 7 sets of tires from him. He will give you the best deal

How about at like 730AM at the entrance station on Lake Mead Pkwy, just past Lake Las Vegas? I have to get gas before I hit the highway.

Everyone else, more than welcome to come!

Hello,
I need a little help. Does anyone know where to do i make a turn to Potato Ridge(Rocky Road Gap) from Lovell Canyon. I drove there 2 days ago but i ddnt find any sign saying about the Rocky Road Gap. I ended up all the way to Trout and Pahrump. I only see some camp sites. Thanks

It's not labeled "Rocky Gap Road," but I believe there is a trail marker on the RH side with the forest service road #. Here's a map from the SMNRA/Forest Service website.

You want the road that goes between the Rainbow and La Madre mtn wilderness.

Works for me, I'll see you there. I've got your number in my phone in case there is a problem.
