First I want to say the impact wrench I got for Christmas is amazing, I got the skids down in a third of the time using it.


Unfortunately I discovered what it looks like when your top of the line indestructible savvy skid plate breaks and destroys your transfer case. This is going to be an interesting call on Monday....

A skid plate is designed to slide off objects, not meant to be bashed straight down on them.

Even top-of-the-line products fail when used for something outside of the parameters for which they are designed.
