Marn what did you end up doing with your gas tank to clean it out? I've been trying to get my truck to start and the gas is way bad and I need to clean it out. I won't need to weld anything just see if I can clean a bunch of it out.

I'll pull it out and have you come do that for me. There is only like 2-3 gallons on it. I though I had added some sta-bil but not 100% on that.

Luckily for me I have a very popular truck and I can get a gas tank from autozone let alone at least 10 different companies carry tanks for a 40 yr old truck. I would rather save $100-400 if I don't have to spend it.

If anyone sees or knows about a good deal on a 220 volt mig welder can you let me know? I have some cash coming I was planning to spend on rims but if I find a good deal on a welder I may jump on that instead.

I used mine again over the weekend and the splatter from the flux wire plus the lack of power adjustability is driving me nuts. Turns out Harbor Freight wasn’t the way to go on this purchase.

Well dealership says late Thursday or early Friday to pick up the new jeep. Hopefully Thursday, we are supposed to go on a trail ride on Saturday. Stock JKUR gonna have any problems with Tie Rod??

I'll let someone with a little more experience chime in, but if I remember the trail correctly yes you will have lots of problems with Tie rod.

How much did the Mexican tire shops charge for Mount and balance?

I had a friend with a stock Nissan Frontier do it with the only major issue being a blown out sidewall. It was tight at times, you'll need a spotter in some areas, and you won't be able to hit any of the side stuff.

I got a tire plugged swapped onto my spare rim and balanced for $30

yah, it was like $20ish for mounting and balancing each wheel on mine.

There are bypasses for all the obstacles at Tie Rod. Theres been stock JK's everytime I've been on it.
