Because a helmet totally would have helped

It wouldn't have hurt. A seat belt probably didn't help either. Would you drive 75mph without your seat belt on? My wife follows this celebrity crap way more than I do. She told me last night he was probably street racing and that part of town is known for it. So I'm supposed to feel bad for an actor who was riding in a car doing more then double the limit when the car lost control and he dies. Give me a break!

Yes! Helmets keep you from burning to death.

No, I'm trying to do 100mph down stuff that has no speed limits cause it's not rated for safety, it's up to my own judgement of what speed I can run, there's no posted sign telling me a "safe" speed. Most probably think 25-35mph is safe in sections I'm running 70-80 thru.

Helmets, at this stage, yes, I will be wearing helmets from this point on cause the race truck is deserving of it and if this next project pans out, it will also... My old truck, I only wore them in it once ever.

I've said it many times on here, hauling *** on public roads is stupid no matter what! Take it to a race course or a drag strip if you think you're a badass or in my case, the dirt... LOL

If this was 4WD, I'd be adding looking at this to my Sunday "to do" list and I'd be taking a stack of cash with me!!!

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...228313997.html

And yes, I've been thinking about what it would take to do a SAS on it all morning. Suspension would be easy, just stuff a superduty front under it. Not sure what steering would take to do though and I'm not sure if the 2wd trans has a removable tail section to mate a t-case up to or not. More then I'm really willing to take on. REALLY wish that was 4wd though cause I honestly would be all over it!

Khris you know if you build a van it HAS to sport the A-team paint.

If it was 4wd, that bird would kill so many stones!!! Tow rig, recovery rig to haul a trailer into the desert to recover with, secure storage for race supplies, PERFECT bike hauler, insulate the inside and easy camping solution, spare street driver for when the expo is down, heck... Temporary storage for garage overflow crap when really needed even! LOL

Seriously, even being 2wd it's a bit tempting! Toss on some AT's and it would do everything above except for the desert recovery stuff...

Not gonna lie, it's a bit odd finding pictures of a truck that looks like one you owned in places you've never been! LOL

Would definitely agree with Khris's statement after riding with him once. Best ride I ever had in a truck.

LOL, and that was hands down the closest I've ever been to rolling as well! Whoopsie!!! Kinda misjudged that spot! LOL Did you ever see these?

This was the pass thru the gate RIGHT before it got scary for a split second...

And there's rear view footage of the whoops here right after passing thru the gate at about the 2:37 mark. The forward footage isn't as good but you can see how far I turned into it at about the 1:55ish mark! LOL
