Scott-is this a termite? Probably is, we found these in a neighbor's dead tree. Any suggestions on protecting our house? Any way to find out if they're already in the house?

I can't tell, does it have wings? Does it have a segmented body? Termites are a fairly rare problem in southern Nevada. I've never had to treat for them. I'll look It up tomorrow and give you some more info.

Difficult to tell. No wings on any I saw. Didn't have a segmented body like an any or wasp. Had multiple legs of course. They're pretty small, probably 1-3mm in length. Definitely wood boring as the trunk had large tunnels at the base and up into the branches. Mostly near the surface up high. The trunk had huge tunnels at the base, but not much above about a foot high. It's like they stuck to just below the bark. The tree fell over VERY easily. I pushed it over with the jeep without much effort. The stump and all came out of the ground without roots. Hope that give some better info.

I was heading out with my Uncle when Greg texted me about missing Hooters again. My Uncle said he didn't want me to miss out entirely on Hooters so that was our first stop on a night out drinking.

Nope. Surprisingly, most of the waitresses at this particular Hooters were shorter than I.
