Note to self, ford D35 hubs are different then D44 hubs. They are not just enlarged versions!!!! At least the early 80's style D44's are not. The late 80's and 90's are grown up versions but if you're at the junkyard with the tools for a D35 looking for an early model set of D44's... Have fun getting them off! If you're lucky you will find a mexican with a saw blade he's willing to give you and a file you can borrow so you can widdle yourself a hand made pick to use to get one pain in the butt snap ring out of it's groove!!! But, mission complete!!! I've got my new hubs/spindles in possession for my new bomb proof toyota spindle project! Gonna go order ford ranger brake calipers next and as soon as I get those I'll have everything on hand needed to start my spindle design phase!!! Best part is I'm on budget to break even once I sell my beadlocks!!! I'll take the trade off, substantially stronger piece of mind front end components in exchange for getting rid of beadlocks I didn't want anyways. The wheels I'm running technically are stronger then the beadlocks anyways! Oh and I'll be running nascar 5/8" wheel studs all the way around now too. Tires should stay on without worry soon!
