I really do miss my stompers, and think of them often. They were one if the coolest toys EVER!

Why are you looking for a new lunch box on CL? I have an extra if you need one.

Greg, you know I don't bring my lunch! LOL and it's a bit too redneck camo for me. But the mtn dew does trump all of that!

That's funny! Atlas makes two exploder specific tcase packages. One is a 3.8:1 and other is the 4.3:1. If you read the fine print, they do this because the 4.3 is too low and the brakes won't actually stop the vehicle when its in low on the autos so they make a 3.8 just for that reason. I'm manual, I'll be going with the 4.3.

Brakes are a big thing in 4lo esp if you are running big gears. By the time that you do the torque multipliers for the trans, xfer case, and axles the torque to each wheel is crazy high. Then try holding all if that torque back with stock brakes.

That's awesome!
I figured it was something to do with stock brakes with large tires, and big gears. Even just rolling off of a big rock, I can stand on the brakes, and it just rolls. I figured the rear disks would have helped with that. Guess a brake upgrade is next on the list of mods! It never ends...
