Electronically limited. It pulls hard all the way up to cutout. It's the 6.0L!

I have this great idea. Hows about I take a van and get it up to 90 MPH and then use the phone? What could go wrong?

Ummm my idea is better. How about we do a motor swap between the van and his jeep

That actually kind of makes sense. Take him out of a 6000lb missle and into a 3000lb missle. At least then the odds of him killing someone while doing anything other than driving behind the wheel are diminished dramatically.

Never mind that the flow of traffic happened to be 90mph at the time! I think that motor would do wonders for the Jeep. I don't foresee the Jeep exceeding 75-80mph ever again.

The flow of traffic is the speed at which all the other traffic is moving. Not the speed at which you are passing all the other traffic.

Where the hell were you that you were getting passed by big rigs while you were doing 90+?

I happen to know a few OTR truck drivers and short of owner/operaters, all of them have told me the same thing. The companies that own the trucks all have speed limiters. Most are limited at 68-72 although one of them has their trucks limited at 75.

I-15 southbound from mesquite. It was coming down the hill toward the 93 turnoff. I got passed by two of them! They were older ones-maybe early 90's? Definitely weren't newer trucks. What made it even more interesting was that an unmarked cop in a white durango had a car stopped at the bottom of the hill. Everyone made nice work of the brakes.
