I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
That's not showing off... This is showing off!!!! LOL Just for you though, I included a shot of a jeep passing me! If you can really call it a jeep?
FYI, that video is unlisted, it hasn't been posted on any forum or social media spot, the views have been from direct people we've specifically sent the link to. Puck and Ghostwhite from here along with Merrick and Matthew that used to post on here were all there for us again this race! HUGE thanks to those guys!!!! Sorry I made for a really boring day for you guys but... Well, that was my goal! LOL
Heads up, that's a LONG video! But if you like garage built hoopties bouncing thru the dirt in almost perfect conditions, well... There you go...
It was a blast. I only wanted to wave at the truck twice, and then watch it cross the finish line. That's exactly what we got to do working Pit A. Then, we got to hang out, eat tacos, and watch big trucks. I call that a great day!
It was a great day hanging out with some of the best people i have met. I enjoyed every minute. Thanks to everyone who was there, and to Merrick for making some fantastic tacos and beans at the end of the race!!
Honestly, the tacos were pretty much the highlight of my day! I'm stoked that whole taco deal worked out so well! Too bad the camera's weren't on then, I'd do a whole video edit based on the tacos!
Break down and replace it with an OEM replacement from the dealer. There's some merit to factory parts. Especially when they last for 20+ years and auto store knockoffs only last 5 or so. Not sure about rebuild kits.
Yeah the factory box wouldn't be bad, I'll have to see that they still sell them.
And that's exactly why I'd not want a box store steering box as the quality just isn't there.
BTW, Ghost... I told Darryl last night that I can't make Laughlin but he's still hoping you are. I can't make it cause assuming I pull the trigger tomorrow night that I'll be heading to Europe like a week later and I just won't be able to pull it off. but... On a side note, more progress has been made on my hooptie and I'm heading over to his shop today after work and probably all day Sat to push along more progress! Hoping to button up the whole rear portion of the work today actually. Then Sat get the front clip mounted and that just leaves the front tin work and 2 panels inside the cab to button up. Maybe I'll have it back in my possession here in a couple weeks. If so I'll have some decisions to make for sure as to tear into mine or tear into Jason's next. Mine has about 2 weeks of work I want to do on it before I take it out again where Jason's has about the same.
LOL, that's EXACTLY what it's for! Now if I can master the dukes of hazard entry and exit even with functional doors at the grocery store I'll be stylin!!!
So I just called Best Muffler and talked to an older gentleman. I told him I did a motor swap in my jeep and I was looking to do exhaust for it. He asked me how I was going to get it smogged. I told home I removed the Evap etc... and had it all removed from the PCM. He straight up said that they won't do the exhaust for me.
