Funny part is the last several Vette owners I've talked to, I always end the conversation with: If you ever get T-boned, or rear-ended and it gets totaled, call me They never seem amused by that.

The dude is gonna swing by this afternoon to look at my truck and I'm gonna check out the vette but I still don't think the value is there. I just want to see it in person and take some notes on what it really is and has done to it. Then I can try and find some comparisons on craigslist and read up on the vette forums a bit to see what it's realistic sales price could be. I don't see it being worth what the guy truly claims it to be though from my time I spent looking around yesterday. It's a '98 with 135K on it but has '04 Z06 suspension and interior in it or something like that. Either way, look up a couple '98 vettes and well, they really aren't that expensive.

Oh so it's not a z06. No deal. You can get them for 12-13 all day long.

Yeah, it's just a standard '98 Vette... I don't know jack about them but the prices I saw didn't justify the trade.

generally if somebody wants to trade something, it's going to be to their advantage.

I already told the dude, if it's really worth $20K, then throw it up on craigslist for like $16 or 17K, sell it fast that way, give me $15K for my truck and be left with some beer money in your pocket.

It's not even a 6L. I agree on not feeling bad about passing on that one.
