While high on the novelty factor, what would you actually do with one? Probably not your daily driver. Is it just filling a void in your soul for trips to the supermarket or what? You gonna go enter it as the sole US competitor in a Russian truck Trials competition?

Or is it just the same urge as having a '30s hotrod... I just can't picture something like that being much for a sunday cruiser. LOL

One word...zombies. Rofl

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!

I did see the preview for Pacific Rim at the $2 theater yesterday. I may give up on the truck thing and start building my mega sized robot to fight aliens coming to earth from the bottom of the ocean. Just not sure I really want to commit the time and energy to it yet honestly.

That's at least a better excuse. You all really in fear of a home land invasion from a foreign enemy? I think a war from our own country is more likely then that personally...

For a guy that builds race trucks and some kick *** desert bashers, you lack vision. It could easily be decked out as the ultimate pit/tow pig. Elevated seating so you can watch the other racers. Plenty of space for spare tires and parts, tools, generator, air compressor. Hell, throw an on-board welder on the damn thing. The only real downside that I see (besides the obvious 3 MPG) is that it would be a pain in the *** to store the damn thing between races.

For foreign invasion or even internal strife, there are about 15 different vehicles that I can think of that I would rather have. The body on those damn things are thin as hell and probably wouldn't fare so well against bullets.
