Power sorry for your loss and my deepest condolences. Lost my Mom two years ago and it is hard times but cherish the memories and celebrate the life. Hang in there and keep your Dad busy in the coming months.
Ok just finished putting a new brake booster, master cylinder for disc brakes. It is a double diaphragm booster barely fit next the clutch master. The master has a bigger bore and almost equal fluid bowls for the discs.
The question is what Jeep models had four wheel disc brakes without ABS so I can get the proportioning valve from it for my YJ. The reason for no ABS is I need the extra port for all my brake lines.
I am just a YJ guy and have no idea what the rest of the Jeeps had or came with stock.
I am almost done with the differential swaps, re-gear, improved braking and steering. Been a long month. Hoping to finish and road test this weekend with the setup I have.
Anyone had any luck removing the metal sleeve in a shock rubber mount. I need to hang my shocks upside down in the rear and can't get the little sleeve out of the rubber bushing.
Joe, what do you mean that you need a p valve with all the lines. It should just have 3 lines. The rear should split on the axle. I would think that an early abs p-valve would be good. They did not have all off the additional traction control systems of current jeeps. I am sure that you are not the first person to put disc brakes on all corners, so there should be data out there.
As far as the metal sleeve, it all depends if it is one piece or not. If it is one piece you might have to burn it out then go with a poly insert. Even if it is not one piece, it might be fused together from heat.
Lube, a 3rd hand and a hammer with the sockets... Push the bushing in without the sleeve inside it. Or harbor freight for a big c-clamp. Or harbor freight and use their display vice to install them. LOL
As I sit here packing up all of my computer stuff from my current job to ship to Texas I am slowly realizing that I will no longer be able to surf the internet endlessly every day and watching movies while getting paid. So starting next week my post count will probably slow down drastically.
I am just glad to see that my old job is still completely disorganized all the way up to my last day. Trying to give me something to do on my last day that is required by the state starting on Sept 1st... like they have not known about the changes for weeks if not months. oh well they can suck it because am spending the rest of my day packing up monitors and all the other crap to ship back.
