After I get established they allow full telecommuting, so I could have the job for years. I hate the dmv too much to even consider getting a car for 6 months. Exp when I know where a tdi is that will easily get almost 50mpg on that drive

Greetings from part of the Rubicon trail!!! Sorry for the crappy quality, it was the iPhone! At least it wasn't too shaky this time.

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!

If you are going to do that, you have to give me at least a weeks notice. It would take a bit of time to get the keys to you, get the insurance re-activated, and get it in for service before it would be really drivable.

Let me talk with the boss lady. Maybe I can buy you that vag com in exchange. I doubt she wants to spend half her mid tour driving me around. I would even leave it in the garage for you

Surruously. My round trip to the office and back is like 43 miles. Doesn't factor in the trips from Henderson to mountains edge to north town and back. Had several estimates in deep Henderson this week and lake Las Vegas this week. That really adds up.

Most weeks I drive about 400 miles.

Not havig to pay for gas is awesome. Maintenance too. And insurance!

My dreadful commute is about 8 miles round trip. With literally 3 right turns and one lane change from my driveway to my parking spot on campus. But fortunately I only have to make the commute 4 days a week this year as I'm off Fridays this semester!

14 miles round trip... I've had traffic twice on my way home in my 4.5 years here. And now that I just typed that I had to open my employee handbook cause I thought I got a vacation bump at 5 years. I do, it's only 2 days though. That's still fine... Next year I'll start having 19 days off per year... Not too bad... Almost 4 weeks of vacation per year.

My 2nd gig outta college, 100 miles one way, 5 days a week. did that for 6 months. I put close to 25K on the car I had back then in half a year with that job.

Gregaf3 Congrats on the job. I am sure you will figure out the commute. Traffic is traffic here no issue all part of Vegas.

The wife's PCS may change when they figure out the FY 14 budget lots of rumors no facts. I am just waiting for the number if furlough days. Today is my last.

The Korean food thing is a gas I am sure that will go over big. Have some fun and hope the new job works out real good.

Thanks Joe. Now get out in the garage before it gets too hot since you have the day off. You need to finish up those axles so you can get back on the trail.

Walked out to this today....awesome for a brand new radiator. Hoses have no water on them, so it's coming from where the core meets the end-tank

Hey Jared if it makes you feel any better I was just out vacuuming the Jeep and chunks of the carpet started to pull off of the backing. Nothing like buying a quality product!! I would not even expect to see this in a 5 year old carpet, let alone one that is less than a year old.
