If it chews off the plastic teeth, they'll end up in the TC oil pump pickup and clog it. :sizzle: op: :notagoodtime:

At some point, you have to get with a rep at the company and let them know. You have been ready 3-4 times now and every time the photographer has flaked. That doesn't lend itself to confidence in the photographer or the company. The company may not even know or may be given false information about you from the photographer which could then reduce confidence in TPF Racing. At least my assumption is that this is a photographer for a sponsor?

Well, as of right now we're confirmed for 7:30AM Sunday morning... Jeeze!!! Talk about jumping thru hoops to get this dude nailed down.

It's not for a sponsor, it's for a magazine shoot. The photo dude actually also turns out to be a regular at all the races and is a hired contract type photographer.

I'd still let the mag rep know. He may loose their contract.

Gold Mountain and John Bull done! Only carnage so far was a torn off front control arm mount (JK) crushed tailpipe (JK) and a busted plastic shift linkage bushing (mine).

Today is Holcomb Creek and Heartbreak Ridge.

(pic is from the balcony of our cabin this morning taken with a crappy iPad camera)

Does anyone know for certain if there would be any negative drivability effects from driving with the speedo gear removed? I k ow it will trip an engine code, but will it still run and drive like it should? Is the fuel level gauge integrated with the speed sensor for estimated fuel level like in bikes? Any input would be appreciated. Leaving at 4am, and still deciding in whether to just go for it in the jeep or accept the ride from the family. Opinions? Thanks. I'll keep in touch with pics!

Been running mine for about 4 months that way no issues. Stole the wife's garmin for a speedo.

Now if yours is newer and depends on a signal from the VSS then you have a problem.

Try it, worst situation you ditch the jeep along the way between here and Tahoe! It should be there when you return to that rest stop!
