Hey LW - welcome to the thread. If you scroll back a page or two you will find some handy links/references that might help you find a place. When are you planning on moving out to Vegas?

Only 40 people ahead of me and they had only been open for ten minutes when I got here. Gotta love the dmv.

Heck no, I'll be helping you getting some race truck ready......or at least watching you get it ready

In all seriousness though, we almost bought a buggy and did a start and park just to be grandfathered for KOH next year, but said buggy was not up to par.

But I will learn where that spot in the pic is.......I would love to take my Jeep there, that's my kind of stuff!!

I think that spot is only going to be open to public driving on Thurs and friday of that week. It's on the Reservation and from what I'm picking up it's mostly off limits typically. I could be wrong, that's just the vibe I'm picking up from what I've been reading in regards to the land up there.

If you guys ever wonder why it takes so long at the DMV.

This is what I found out while getting my new license.

The lady that was helping me was in her mid to upper 40's, her oldest son is 26 and her boyfriend of a year is 5 years older than her son. He works part time helping load/unload uHaul trucks and has not found any full time work in over 4 years. She ate a breakfast bar that had chocolate on it and had to use a hand sanitizer-lotion to get her hands clean. She has been with the DMV for 17 years and used to work at the old office behind Fiesta Station that went to a new computer system in 1999, but the building is now owned by Valley Crest. I am sure that I am missing some more stuff, but I basically got her life story while she was slowly working on inputting my info. She assured me that the wait today was nothing because yesterday it was over an hour and a half wait, and they had to turn people around before they shut the doors.

The guy next to me did nothing but ask the customer about the pt programs in the Air Force. I think that he was hitting on the guy, personally. But they kept on talking about running and the different branches of the military...

The small talk probably tripled how long it should have taken to complete the task.

BLAH, hopefully I will not have to go to the DMV again for a long time.

Nothing on how it used to be, 6 hr waits were considered quick. I need to visit a DMV in another state and see what it's like. Never mind I can imagine.

I went to the DMV on flamingo yesterday to register the new TJ. Went in at 11 and was out by 1130. Did u go to the one on farm? That one sucks. Just FYI if no one knows the only reason to go to the DMV now is to register a new to you car and driving test. Everything else can be done on your computer at home or a kiosk.

My DMV back in MN would never have a line you walk right up to the people and your in and out in less than 10 min. And no smog or vin check. It was so nice.

I have never been able to surrender a plate or get hit on by a DMV employee via the internet or mail

ugh.

We have an AC unit in here that keeps things cool, but I leave it on energy saver so it doesnt make noise consonantly.

i have a small fan behind me to my right that keeps a breeze on me so I stay cooler without having the AC set to like 60*.

I just had to sneeze, and turned around away from my desk and let it rip. directly in front of the fan. It was nice, actually, almost like i had a mister installed.
