How do you all feel about the cobra 75? I was looking at them because my old cb got trashed by the rain. I know that's not as much of an issue here as it was in Florida but I'd like to eliminate it as a factor entirely and I like the fact you can unplug it lock it up when not in use.

I have the 75 and it works pretty good. If you ride topless/doorless you will want to get an external speaker.

Or if you drive a TJ with a soft top on the highway.

I run the Uniden 520xl with a bikini top and half doors, and I can hear it fine going around 50-55mph and my speaker is about an inch from/facing the carpet. I do intend to relocate it, but it works fine for now.

I run an external speaker mount on my dash next to the drivers side A-pillar. I like that I can detach and hide the mic when not in use.

These scammer emails on Craigslist piss me off. I get all excited for a sec then realize it's a scam.

Was it the grass in the front yard and the vinyl siding on the house that gave it away, or was it the random words in the post that made no sense?

It was the gmail email in the post with no other contact info. That's always a dead giveaway.

I use the Cobra 75 with an audio interrupt that interrupts music on my stereo to play the CB audio through the front speakers, I like the 75 quite a bit, and the audio interrupt made it even better. I still miss a lot of what's said though because I am half deaf.

That is so cool. I did not know anyone made one of these for vehicles. Thanks for the info...
