Just keep it running, save up and buy either a JKU or a decent TJ. If you need a family rocket, go for an XJ or the JKU! Don't pour money into a thief magnet that won't increase in value. Get back into a jeep. My $.02 worth.

Why is it super nice to have 4WD if you race baja? This is why, watch the first part if you want but once he gets stuck in line, just jump to 8:30 to see the payoff of 4WD down south. BTW, yes, that's typical race course, it's not all high speed whoops and jumps! I remember my first mexico race I was shocked and what they ran us thru, stuff I would've questioned running in my old cj7 at the time yet we bounced right thru it in a 2wd spooled ranger.

The truck you're watching is a early 80's style full size bronco with leafsprings in the rear.

I guess I cant tell from the video, but why did he need 4wd? Looks like he just drove around everyone on flat ground/part downhill??

Unless your referring to getting off the coarse and the rig doing the cupid shuffle like Jason's truck in the soft stuff when the truck comes to a complete stop lol and then 4wd would come in handy?

the hill climb portion, that video doesn't do that section justice. Trophy trucks get stuck there quite often even. I'd venture to bet that even your jeep would have issues climbing that without 4wd. Remember, 25-30psi in those tires, not 8...
