Here we are preparing our top ropes for our first rappel of the day. It was a long one. Maybe 100 feet or a little more, but it was a good introduction to rope since feet could be placed against the rock face the whole way down.
Most of the places I go don't require 4WD. Almost all of the trails I regularly explore are just like the one we all visited last Saturday. I didn't have it in 4WD that whole trip. Not even getting up that tailing pile where we all parked.
My Jeep isn't built up for rock crawling or dunes or desert racing. All I've done to it is add the ProComp tires for a little puncture resistance. Mostly, I use my Jeep to explore. Wheeling isn't the reason I get out there. It's a means to get there.
Good thing you didn't try to get up that hill closer to the road with that busted joint, huh?
Any one here ever go to Dumont Dunes??? I go all the time it's my other hobby. Quads and a rzr make for a good time.
I keep on hearing about the dunes but I have never been, personally I don't know if my JK would be able to maintain speed out of the valley towing our 12ft enclosed trailer w/ 2 quads in it. That plus I only have one set of paddles
