Yeah it hit the tree line on the 4th while I was up there. I really wish I had taken a camera instead of just my phone. I was amazed at the size of the flames coming off of those trees on the ridge line. I can only imagine the updraft from the other side of the mountain was only making them go higher.

Hopefully the fire crews were able to save the bristlecone grove. Not sure where it's at, but it would be truly terrible for the fire to get those!

It's on the bristlecone trail. Which is in Lee canyon. I don't think the fire has quite reached lee

Why do people think it's ok to bring a dog into a dining establishment? I'll never get it...

Geez Andy, thanks for telling me that you were worried about your boss driving your car. Now I find myself checking to see if every white tdi has a hitch on it.

Bought this beat *** thing for a fixer upper, but ended up passing the deal I got on it to a buddy who offered me a free old mossberg model 42 .22 rifle that is a project gun. It's got a few missing parts and apparently is pretty worn.

I just wanted a project so now I'm out 0 dollars and have an old gun to clean up and play with.

This shotgun is raunchy. Probably never cleaned. All kinda of missing bluing, it's dented and dinged, some rust....apparently functions fine and after I lubed it cycles all smooth.

It blows my mind that people just don't take care of stuff

From looking at this map of the fire damage so far, it looks like Carpenters Canyon is actually not burned yet. But it has gone all the way up to the Griffith Summit trail head and towards Harris Spring Road
