have you checked the plugs yet? With the single coil pack, each cylinder double fires for each compression stroke. The ones that I pulled out of my TJ with 40k miles on it looked like they had been in a war zone.

Some other things to think about are the plug wires. With this heat that we are having the under hood temps must be crazy. Heat = higher resistance, which could cause intermittent plug wire issues.

With that said about the underhood temps, it could almost be anything that has a questionable electrical connection.

Probably 60 lbs lighter after the sweat they lost today which is also probably part of the reason they're now swerving home too!

Mine ran rough in the super heat because of injector #3 misfiring. The factory fix is to essentially wrap it in tinfoil to shield it from the manifold and it fixes the problem. I never got around to doing it because I don't really drive my Jeep much, especially when it's really hot, but that might be the issue; same symptoms and cheap fix.

^^^ I had that same issue, insulated the crap out of it, helped... Put the vent on the hood, that really helped! I think I only had it happen once after the hood vent.

Thanks. That's the word I got from my mechanic as being the fix.

Or flat fenders with the vents on the side and some fans?

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!
