I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
Bolts falling out, no brakes for the drive home... hmm, sounds a lot like one of my last trips to Rocky Gap. Mine ended up in a big brake upgrade from Garza though
Glad you made it home okay, that sounds like a rough day
By no means was it like crazy technical or anything but last time I was up there (3-4 years ago?) there was nowhere near that many washed out areas and ruts and rocky parts.

It's changed a lot in the almost 3 years I've been going through there. There's a couple of sections that are getting kinda skinny where the trail is eroding at the side.
Not bad for a solo run and yeah, I got around and put some decent miles on the pile. Had a fuse issue with my subwoofer amp and my A/C died on us Sunday but luckily we were higher elevation and didn't need it much. Tossed a charge in enough to get home yesterday across the desert with a/c cranking. Will find the leak this week and get it fixed. Didn't even have a camera on me at Mono Lake or Bodie and that's just a small sampling of where I found myself. Played in the snow at one point even...
Saved some french dude's *** with a 4cyl YJ that was on the side of the highway also yesterday. Cruised by at like 75 and noticed he had half his jeep unloaded and hood flipped over and we were in the middle of nowhere so I flipped around and went back to see if I could help as it was obviously not just a flat tire. Traveling solo I had half my garage in those totes in the back of my expo in that lake bed picture so figured depending what it was maybe I could help the dude. I pulled up and he was about to drop his fuel tank... Couldn't get it to fire but he had his manual. Had him pull the filter and turn it on, squirted about a second and then stopped. He wanted to drop the tank, told him hold on. Found the relay and used a jumper wire and bam, fuel pump's flowing. Not in your tank dude... Made a reasonable jumper to get him on the road and got him taken care of. My good karma for the day.

Exhaust or shock mounts? I was forced to drink A beer and have A shot. It was my b-day and my stupid high school friends up in Mammoth wouldn't let me escape it. LOL
All I did this weekend was sell the Heep, Browse CL, DR, and RD looking for a Ranger that would fit my needs. Hung out with friends (obviously drinking beer) and made plans for the 4th of July.
Hey all! Fairly new to the area been "living here" for just over a year now. Moved up from the panhandle of Florida then spent a few months out in Cali. Jeep has been up and down upgrading it when i can and i finally feel settled enough here to start stretching the springs out again! Just figured I'd pop in and say hi!

I've got more pictures but those give a good highlight of the weekend.
