I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.

The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.

So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!

Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?

If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!

I did Rocky Gap yesterday with the top off the rubicon, and I went shooting down past the M Casino today. It was great, first weekend in five months that I've had time to do whatever I wanted.

On a side note, my younger brother is still looking for a vehicle and wanted to know what you guys think he should offer for this http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/4325403377.html
It seems pretty high to me, but it does look like it's in killer shape.
How about this?

YES!!! New record set on dumbest jeep owner I've been exposed to today! I LOVE the type of customers our product appeals to! Absolutely clueless! Sure, return the part cause it's "wrong and doesn't fit"... LOL

We make this dash top console for the JK that I designed. It's actually a pretty nice piece. In fact if any of you have an '07-'10 and want one I've got two at home that are rejected prototypes but for reasons that won't affect fitment or use at all. Anyways, you pop up the stock cover and ours goes in place of it.

Well I just got pictures of someone saying the adhesive was missing from the package and it doesn't sit flush and they show pictures of them setting it down on top of the stock cover that's there. It's not a stick on piece, it clips in place using the stock clips. There's no adhesive. LOL

Any one ever replace a pinion seal? The seal in my wife's Commander went bad, and I have to replace it. Do I need special tools to do the replacement?

sucked *** on my TJ that was kinda crusty underneath.

You need a massive socket for the pinion nut, then you need to put like a 2' long pipe wrench on the yoke and turn it against the ground so it doesnt turn while you try to spin off the nut with a 4' long breaker bar.

Once you get the nut off, you get to put a massive pitman arm puller on the yoke and watch the yoke go flying when it finally lets go in your face. Then you get to hammer a screwdriver in between the seal and the diff housing hoping to not mar the surface, i suppose you could try to cut it but i woulnt want to chance the shavings getting inside the bearings.

then you get to notch a piece of 2x6 to fit over the pinion and hammer in the neaw seal, put the yoke back on, tighten the nut down to like 300000 ft. lbs. and hopefully it doesnt leak!

i think mine still leaked haha.

Thanks, that looks like a much better option.

Tell him to stay away from the 2000-2001 years. Too many motor problems can come about. Also, 7k is way too freaken much. I got mine for $2800 in the same condition.
Good to know about the engine problems, thanks.

I do agree with the high price, but it does look clean. Sought by collectors and enthusiast...
I knew it was overpriced, I just didn't know by how much haha.
Thanks for the help guys. :cheers2:
