I'm not gonna tell him which motor to get, just saying, you might want to drive both and then decide. Although, people do turbo or supercharge the 2.9's believe quite often. Like there's something off the older t-birds or something that's a direct install to bring them alive. I don't know the details at all though.

Oh and I figure Jason's been in London for all of like 3 days now so I sent him my next wish list item for his truck.

10K is about what I hope to come back from the sandbox with.

Good call. I just saw an unmolested 4WD rain gutter. Damn things are freaking impossible to find.

Marn, I bet yours would honestly be cheaper... probably $1500 in deavers, $3000-4000 in shocks, truss the crap out of those dana 44's hoping for the best, $2000 in cage/chassis materials, upgrade the brakes (maybe), $1000 for some 35's. Go see what it does... Motor, well that's all you! Notice I never chime in on the motor questions. I try to speak first hand and well, I leave my motors stock and reliable. LOL

It wouldn't be as fast as the race truck but I bet it would crawl a ton of places!!! Specially if you added some more cash for lockers!!!! And I bet it would get you there surprisingly quick! I'd go cheaper on shocks but with the size of yours, might as well just step up to 3" bypasses and get it over with.

Only way though is if we can cut the roof off it!!!

The roof will come off! The motor will remain stock. Thinking link killer shocks would be cool! LOL

i know how you feel man.

I've had 3 or 4 "hard to find" things that I have been keeping an eye out for all come along at once, and i cannot afford any of them.

the exact AR upper i want, the motor for the jeep, a .357 marlin lever gun....

being poor sucks.

Well not even poor, being "financially responsible" sucks. big time. Why cant I be like Dani, she makes over 1k a month more than me, has less bills, and doesnt have any hobbies. she just has cash coming out her ears all the time and never spends it.

I like how there's spare knuckles strapped on the back! LOL I guess they've had a need for them obviously.
