Ok, moving on to a few mines. Here is a huge open collar. Reminds me of Return of the Jedi.

What the heck is this? I was thinking it might be a dog, but the neck was really long and that rib cage much larger than I'd expect from a dog. Almost looks like a hyena, but out here? At the bottom of a mine? It still looks juicy, but it's mummified.

This was really unexpected. I'm used to seeing wooden structures in mines. I've never seen a door on a mine floor or a brick wall. When opened we found this metal ladder. Of course, our curiosity was piqued and we had to head down.

First thing we found was water and lots of it. Some of the guys had wading boots with them. I just had my combat boots. Man, that water was cold!

Looks like flooding was a problem when the mine was being worked. Here is an old water pump still in place.

Last picture for now. These two didn't want their faces posted, so they get to be sexy bunnies. This has to be the strangest thing I've ever seen underground. It's a moped at the bottom of the mine. We checked every area of that lower section and found no other exits. Even if there was another way in and out, it wouldn't explain why a moped would be down there.

That's all for now. I'm so hungry! We'll probably go find another buffet.

A moped, that's crazy. Maybe it was some prank or joke from back when it was being worked.

Would likely have the same result-slowly digested over a thousand years!

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!

I'm so mysterious that you might not believe it. In fact, my mysteriousness is so intense it has certain safety and security issues related to it.

Looks like my old moped. It was stolen, and I got a ransom note saying that the larsonists wanted 10 million dollars, or my moped was going into a deep hole. I didn't pay the ransom as I expected them to throw my moped in a hole whether or not I paid.

Movin out the ghetto ain't gonna miss the gunfire. Movin out the ghetto ain't gonna miss the chopper. Sung to the tune of "peaches" by the presidents of the USA!
