At least your skills translated into a career. I worked Fire Rescue for a few years, but I started going to school fulltime and changed direction. I know a few people that were so excited to be Navy Gunners Mates. They were actually surprised they couldn'tmake a career of it afterwards.

People that pack parachutes in the military are required to jump occasionally using a randomly selected pack that they packed in the normal course of their duties ... it gives them incentives to do things right. Do you get to get ejected occasionally?

Nope you want to avoid that situation if possible. After two ejections they will no longer allow pilots to fly because of the damage it can do to the body. 14+ g's straight up is no good for the body. Lol

You donít buy it you build it!!

There's that much force in those seats? That's a lot of spine compression.

Pilots can shrink up to two inches after an ejection. They are made to put a 180 pound person 150 feet straight up in about a second. Pretty impressive considering it's 30 plus year old technology.

Well I may be picking upna free zj with a blown tranny in the next few weeks. I originally planned to take it for the motor but it is a 4.0. Only catch is it's in Reno. Road trip time.

thats a long ride for a free truck with a less than ideal engine!

Hell, i'd love to put a 4.0 drivetrain in my waggy.

Doc, I think ur crazy! 4.0 in ur waggy?! What's it got now? I know eights NOT great...on gas, but done right you can have gobs of torque, decent enough mpg, and streetability. I would think the 4.0 would be under powered unless stroked to 4.6 or 4.7, can't remember which it was. Your waggy is awful heavy for the 4.0 isn't it?

I know I haven't posted in this thread before now. I am an aircraft Crew Chief having worked A-10's, MQ-1's, MQ-9's, and U-2's. I was stationed at Creech from 2004 to 2007. I found out not to long ago that I will be returning. I look forward to seeing you guys on the trails and saying hi to those of you that I have met in the past.

Dying to know if it's true about a-10's- if they fire the nose gun for too long, does it actually cause the aircraft to climb? That plane is awesome, one of my favs, behind the f-4(it's sexy)

I figure I can either fix the tranny prob and sell or keep. Or part it out and really build up my blown motor. Best part is the wife approves.
