jeebus. when did ball joints get so expensive?

Just ordered 2 sets of Spicer upper and lower ball joints, freakin 120 bucks! Cheaper than moog at least.

$33ft (I had to get 6ft my tie-rod is 50"), I'm getting it ready to go to the machinist for threading.

It's an aluminum alloy full of awesomeness. I believe it was "classified" until the year 2000, and it's used in Military and aerospace applications everything from structural to armor.

I was going to do a 7075 tie-rod (which I have used before as links and steering), but decided to give the 7068 a shot.

A really strong aluminum alloy. Where as 6061 has a yield strength of around 400 kilopound per square inch. 7068 is closer to 1000 KSI. Most titanuim alloys are around 700-800 KSI.

What are you using for ends on it? Also, what dimensions is it? Hollow or solid? Asking cause I'm still up in the air for steering on my expo. I don't think I'll go that route though cause I need much more then 6' I'm guessing and that would add up fast! I need to start looking around to see what others are using.
