I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
haha, I doubt it. News 5 was outside the Mickey D's up by my house when I dropped the kids off. There was around 20-30 people outside and they were shooting videos.
here is the video, that guy always gave me my soda at the drive thru there.
I didn't see a single striking worker on my hunt for a $1.95 lunch today using center console change. I did see a line out the door at JJ's though and said screw that!!! Funny thing is, I had already bought my $0.85 soda at circle K so I was probably going to be the only one there that truly could only afford a $1 sandwich today! Yet, that was just dumb... I ended up with a crappy chicken sandwich from Jack in the box. Sucks cause this is the first day I've felt I could really stomach a legit meal and well... Maybe I'll find dinner!!!! This week has totally sucked! Well, not in comparison to things worse but compared to a standard regular week for me, I'm ready for this one to be done!
Oh and I just had a dude that wanted to come look at my truck tonight, claiming cash in hand. But no bypasses up front so not interested anymore. Ummmm dude, put some spindles on it, bump the compression valving up front and speed up the rear rebound and I bet it's more truck then you could handle without your precious bypasses. Whatever though, go buy your bypass truck, let me know what it is and I'll come embarrass you with my non bypassed hooptie in a few months once I button up the front end. BTW, you probably paid more for that truck too... LOL
Ugh, in a great mood today! Just totally over this week... Heading to the palms tonight for dinner, maybe some food poisoning to start the whole cycle over again will come my way at my first meal of this week.

Dude probably doesn't know any better. He probably had a friend that said "dude, bypasses are the ****." You wind up with an unsold truck because of rampant ignorance. It wasnt that long ago that I was asking you why some trucks had shocks and coil overs and some just coil overs up front.
If you're going to race... Bypasses 100% for sure. If you're going to play... Don't waste your cash cause something's wrong with you if you can't have fun without bypass shocks!!! LOL I think I can pickup 15-20mph down trans alley out at jean with just the new spindles and a revalve session or two with my current shock setup. The spindles are my only hold up, I just don't trust them enough to run the truck 100%.

And that is just it. He probably doesn't know what he really needs. When it comes down to it, in this sport TT's are at the top and for some reason everybody thinks they need one. When you base your decision off of that, you get way more truck than you could ever use and a false sense of security that leads to broken parts and broken bones. Quite honestly, your truck is far more than I could likely use at speed and if it were 4WD, I might have bought it. Because I know what my wants/needs are, it just doesn't fit the bill.
If anyone only got what they really needed then there would be no need for 99% of the aftermarket. I don't need 3 Jeeps, 3 extra sets of tires, an LS2 on a pallet, enough spare parts to probably build a couple more Jeeps.....I can't have fun without all that stuff, but I admit something is wrong with me hahaha
As I sit here packing up all of my computer stuff from my current job to ship to Texas I am slowly realizing that I will no longer be able to surf the internet endlessly every day and watching movies while getting paid. So starting next week my post count will probably slow down drastically.
I am just glad to see that my old job is still completely disorganized all the way up to my last day. Trying to give me something to do on my last day that is required by the state starting on Sept 1st... like they have not known about the changes for weeks if not months. oh well they can suck it because am spending the rest of my day packing up monitors and all the other crap to ship back.
The last company I worked at was like that. It was in Florida and the Governor said not to implement healthcare reform because it was going to get overthrown by congress. Ya, that didn't work out so well, now they're scrambling around like rats on a sinking ship trying to get it implemented. I'm glad I got out when I did.
Yep, there was a huge mix of problems at that place. Everything from people hoarding knowledge to make themselves harder to replace all the way to poor management. My boss did not know how to delegate anything. When he finally did delegate everything he never gave the whole picture, it freaking drove me nuts. I spent more time redoing my own work because the whole project design/purpose was not initially released. Not only that, but he wanted to be the only person talking with the end users.
Matt, it would be the equivalent of me asking you to come over... but only giving you partial directions, then when you call I give you more directions... over and over until you get here. Then once you finally get here I say... why did you bring the Jeep... I need you to help me move this couch. Now go get your truck... then once you finally get back and deliver the couch... the person on the other end says... But I wanted a love seat and two recliners, While you are at it can you get me a coffee table and a dishwasher.
Total F'n mess, hopefully the new place will be nothing like this.
Oh, I forgot to tell you guys. The guy in that video yesterday that walked out of the McDonald's up here and talked to channel 5... he was back at work today handing me my dollar soda.
