They are really going out of their way to avoid Texas and Alabama...

Yeah, they said if they went direct they could actually cut out close to 1000 miles but they chose that route for some reason. Not sure if it was for heat reasons this summer or what? They also said basically the route they've mapped out the shouldn't actually be in any big city after the get out of San Diego. They said about the largest city they should be passing thru is Prescott, Az which isn't that big by any means. They also said once out of san diego they should mostly be on back country roads and trails the whole way, no interstate or major routes. Granted, they're kinda following those routes but they're intentionally staying off them. I'm curious to see how far they make it to be honest...

Not to mention, wouldn't you avoid alabama too? LOL

Nope, I am white and therefore wouldn't have a problem.

I'm white too but I'm not sure I'd want to hike thru alabama myself.

is $30 bucks a normal price for a used tire like that? I just need a full size spare that i can throw in the back of my truck, i have a 32x11.50 now, so....i need something taller and narrower
On a related note, I have been told there have been 8 spare tires taken off of Jeeps in the last two months around the the northwest part of town. Lots taken from the LVAC on Rainbow at Vegas. Interesting to know if the guy you buy it from looks like a sh_tbag.

I'll see if it looks like he has extras or anything, or if he looks scummy.

This tire isnt on a wheel or anything, so, it would be hard to tell. but if he has a bunch of wheels and tires laying around that may say something haha.

doubt it would be worth the effort to steal it and sell it for 30 bucks haha

So is it safe to say that they will do a press release that we need to start removing our doors and spares?

Misspelled and auto corrected on my phone

Police suggest leaving your spare tire at home, and simply call a tow truck if you get a flat.

No no no, to fix a flat you just have to jack the jeep up and rotate the tire to the good side.

check the date on the tire, and if it has any signs of dry rot cracking walk away. I know its 30 bucks but still... I have had my fair share of problems with BFG AT's

Yeah, I didn't realize it was not mounted on a wheel. Disregard.

Isn't there a challenger in your driveway? What's it have for a spare tire outta curiosity... We had an SRT8 one here at work and I don't know if they all had the spare setup it had but it wasn't what I expected! LOL

yah, he says its in good shape, i asked about cracks and whatnot, he said its good.

As long as its decent i'm going to grab it, it's going to sit inside the back of my truck under my cargo deck, and hopefully never get used, but if its all dry and cracky, i wont get it.

I'll take a look, i imagine it's similar to what i had in the magnum? It was an RT but it had a teeny tiny lil donut like everything else these days.
