Has anyone on here ever taken apart a gear shifter on a mountain bike before? Mine is acting all gummed up and I'm hoping I can take it apart without ruining it. It is the kind that has both index finger and thumb levers.

I have not, but a nice layer of wd40 usually takes care of issues with my road bike

hi everybody.

i'm on the lookout for a set of 74-78 NT D44's with 3.54's, so, if anybody sees them let me know.

Basically I need to find them on/from a 74-78 wagoneer or Narrow track cherokee (rare), with the tow package. J-trucks and cherokees of any year will not work, nor will any waggy after 78 or before 74.

Not sure if you ever hit that picapart on boulder but that waggy was still in there as of a month or so ago and it had axles under it. No clue what year though.

BTW, this is how you start with $100 "bomb proof factory replacement motor mounts" and make them actually truly "factory replacement" parts...

You start with these...

See the tabs on the lower half of the bracket, yeah, you take your grinder and you cut those completely off and grind the weld down smooth. Then you make all new tabs and weld up complete new lower half brackets in your home made fixture. They forgot to put all of that in their installation instructions though...

Right off Boulder between sunset and warm springs. See address 2 posts above. Take $1 cash for entry. It's in the far opposite back corner of the lot from where you enter. There'll be a row of jeeps and there was one back there just a few weeks ago.

LOL, specifically it was sitting right about center here...

I honestly have no clue if they'd know or not. I always just go and see for myself but that's just me... It is a whole dollar though to get in so if it's not the right stuff I understand you not wanting to take the chance.
