Just out of curiosity, but would it be worth going if I had to be back home around 3 or so or at the latest by dark?

There's a ranger who patrols those roads out near ft apache and sunset. But he's easily avoided. There's alot of little fun trails. There's one you can see from the road. It's up a little hill. Not quite a mountain. But I've done it. And you'd probably want some lockers. There's also some old caves.

I'm pretty sure all OHV use is prohibited within the valley? People still do it, and most of them get away with it, but a dust fine is no joke man ($$$)

There's a document with the specific boundaries somewhere on the BLM site.

Yea, I'm not trying to go anywhere i'm not supposed to. And certainly don't want to mess with any fines.

Do you guys ever get together and hit up Logandale? I went to H&B when I first moved here and had a blast but I don't know the area up there well enough to not get lost lol.

I'm down for going mostly anywhere, but honestly if it's just a dusty/rocky road and a few small hills, i'd rather not go, unless there is some really good scenery or cave hunting ect. on that drive.

Be careful about advocating the use of illegal trails, thats a big NO-NO on this site.

I've been out to Logandale several times in my old TJ, but don't know my way around too too well.

What direction are you planning to go (I'm assuming you are coming in from parhump)? Are you going up and over? Just up? I always used to just go in from red rock, down into the fun stuff, then back up and out through red rock. Not sure if the waggy is gonna be up for another potato ridge run from the back side this soon, haha. Last place I wanna have anything happen to it is somewhere rocky and remote...

I was hoping to get out somewhere with YOJIK this weekend, and he's only stock on 31's so I doubt that Potato Ridge would be a good ride for him unless we just came up from the red rock side. but then again, my fat-*** wagon made it through. We could definitely go up from the vegas side though, and ride down a ways.

Heck, maybe just hit the dunes, I havent been out there in a while. Buncha yahoos out there all the time though.

Blah, I dont like being all paranoid about my jeep. I gotta get the new motor in there sooner than later.

White Blazer, no wheels, stripped, with a bunch of bullet holes in it. Are you taking a trailer up there??? Thats the only way I see that coming back into town. Its parked off to the right side (heading in from Red Rock) right after a switchback.

Lots of snow in the higher elevation, just like Wheeler Pass. No fresh snow in awhile either so.... Old crusty frozen snow = no traction at all. Have someone with a winch and bring shovels. Roger was up there about a month ago and he said they used winches more that time than ever before.

If it's Potato ridge with Vegas TJ Driver, it'll be 9am.

VegasMatt, YOJIK, and I are trying to figure out the conditions up there. If it's slick as **** none of our rigs will be suited to do it.

You're welcome to join us wherever we decide to go.
