But honestly I don't think I cAn take on the project simply because I have nowhere to keep it.

Well Marn, pick up that willies and this CJ, transfer this motor into the willies, sell all the left over stuff to power along with a truck bed from the junkyard so he can build a jeep truck and use the willies to tow the wagon! See, it's simple!

Or, for those of you that are concerned with rust, here's a jeep for you!

New tow rig anyone?

Samuri converted to look like a side by side anyone?

I'm diggin the Sammy and its a good price. You usually never find them under $3k. Well finally got my gas saver registered and on the road. If I remember I'll take some pics if anyone wants, but it isn't anything special. After spending $80-90 filling up my truck it was great to see the pump stop and $25 last night.

I couldn't ever actually picture a samuri in my driveway or garage but I'll be honest... I've had some friends in college that had them when I was in my CJ7 days and those things were darn impressive for what they would do and where they would go! They were both only on 33's and had no problem running the whole rubicon trail and things similar.

What did you get?

No not a samurai just commenting on it. I picked up a 96 corolla for my little bro a few months ago. I replaced the clutch and got it going and he thought he could get away with not paying me back for the repairs or the car so I repo'd that ****. It has about 130,000 miles on it and it is a little beat up on the interior, but the a/c works has no leaks and runs great. There is a clunk and I'm guessing it is a cv joint. My plan is to fix it up a little and sell it after I get tired of it.

Andy, did they get 270 degrees? LOL
I doubt they ever got that hot. However, it was cold during the race and 270 might be easily attainable during the summer.

Yeah, figure ambient temps in summer could EASILY be 70-80 degrees hotter then it was on race day! Not sure if that would equate to the same higher temps in the shocks but...

You should've seen me and Ricky trying to do the simple prep on that thing race morning before sunrise! LOL

The truck will go out to do some mid summer testing for sure just to check temps and stuff like that. No clue how it'll do in the heat, I know it does well in the cold.

Finished my ammo can paint job. It has truck bed lining on the bottom as well. Turned out pretty good, it's not perfect by any means, but it will work for trail tools and such.
