I can see that all of us have had WAAYYY too many vehicles over our years. I guess that is why we are all broke and have no savings (Khris excluded).

It was a good deal. I bought it for $500 in HS. It was yellow with a straight 6 and a 2 speed rear end. Was a lot of fun but got terrible mileage and I sold it to pay for a 2 year church service. I actually know where it is now parked in Henderson. If I think about it next time ill snap a pic.

So unrelated to all that I got the main piece of leather cut and test fitted. Practiced lacing it.

Tomorrow I will cut and stitch on the shell holder I hope!

This is my first time Doing anything with leather

at one time my dad had a 55 bell air and a 55 Chevy truck. the cool thing about the truck was that he drove his vet to the Pomona swap meet, sold it, then walked around until he found something that he liked to get home.

the truck had a stock motor, small window, chopped, and had a full disc brake conversion. it rode nice.

his belair was a 10second drag car when he bought it. he fully restored it and it was sweet. he left the solid cam in it... I cannot even begin to count the number of times that I helped him set the valve lash. it was pretty fast and sounded bad afar with open headers

Andy, remember that yellow 7S truck that was hauling butt at the race. Check out 2:06 into this one. Well, the whole video is good but it's mostly just the monster sponsored rigs. The slow motion of baldwin near the beginning at 0:43 is pretty amazing though too.
I agree, that Jeepspeed rig is a damn good deal.

That yellow 7S truck was sitting on the trailer by the start/finish when you guys were stuck. It took one hell of a tumble and was torn up pretty badly. That being said, from talking with one of the guys on the pit crew the driver and co did go to the hospital but only as a precaution. It was actually kind of cool to see how well the cage held up. I saw no deflection of the cage when I looked It was even better seeing that the cage design in that truck was almost exactly the same as the cage design in the race truck.

Seeing the way that suspension moves in that video was badass!

1986 Chevy C-10 (used as a tow pig eventually sold)
1964 Ford Falcon Futura (got an offer on it I couldn't refuse)
1974 Ford Mustang ii (race car, wrecked by a family member)
1994 Ford Ranger (Sold to little brother)
1995 Ford Ranger (traded for BMW 5 Series)
1986 Ford Sierra (euro spec) (sold, wrecked by new owner next day)
1984 Mercedes 300d (Euro spec) (sold to some German for way more than it was worth)
198something BMW 540i (Euro spec) (ex wife blew the motor, I used every trick in the book to keep it running long enough to trade in on the GC)
2002 Jeep TJ (Ex got it in the divorce)
1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee (traded in on Liberty)
2004 Jeep Liberty (Ex got it in the divorce)
2000 VW Golf (Ex got it in the divorce)

This just made me realize that this is the only time in my life besides my first car that I have ever owned less than two vehicles at a single point in time.
