Khris, here is one of my hinges. I am sure that a shield of some sort could be attached.

If anyone was serious about the whole doomsday stuff, they would not be living anywhere near large populations or close to a military installation. My biggest concern is that half of the population does not know how to grow/hunt for food, yet they all know how to shoot a gun.

^^^ My thoughts exactly... If things really are looking ugly, I've got VERY rural options in 2 different states with keys to both, dirt road routes with a choice of vehicles capable of getting to both once out of city limits that both are pretty nicely stocked with 5000 gallon water tanks. I have means of hauling 50+ gallons of gas as well in either of my vehicles. Getting out of the city in a SHTF scenario is the hardest part but most likely there would be notice of something dooming coming. Then again, when the earth explodes it won't matter...

and if you think my hinges look beaten up, you should see the rear flares. They catch ever rock that the tires throw up.

I saw these today too... if you want to keep your jeep looking good while you abuse it in the brush

Those are all great vids too! I was purposely looking for the caddy one to reply with but then stumbled on the underground race one which is a great mix of car abuse from years ago and that reminded me of the "borrow the volvo" video which just seemed like a mandatory post too. Basically volvo abuse got me thinking about that teampenis caddy! Funny part is the dune they launch off with it, I honestly don't think my jeep would've made it as far up as he gets even aired down in 4WD!!! That dune is just west of sledghammer and jackhammer trails and is pretty big actually.

Why so small? Get like a 6" lift so you can clear some 35's and then run these 32's...

Lolz. Just got done talking to the guy working on the truck i broke yesterday.

$860 to replace the intake manifold gasket.

Turns out it needs a new intake, he quoted me $635 in parts.

Also needs a new spider injector. He quoted me $460

Holy hell. $1955.00 to repair a freakin $3000-$4000 truck?!

I told him I'll bring him an intake and an injector set. That knocked $500 off the bill.

Wrenching on truck... LOL what else would I be doing?

That little race down in baja I mentioned yesterday. Yeah, they're still going. First truck is about 150 miles out from the finish line right now. So crazy that they started yesterday late morning and are still running. First bikes finished a few hours ago.
