After talking to a rep for glock tonight I should have bought a glock instead of my xd. He also said they seem to be having a few problems with the new generation and if you can, stick to the old gen.
I'm also thinking maybe my technique is part of my problem with my xd. I may have to see if I can tighten up my skills before I give up on it.

4in full size .45. I'm still on the fence about selling it. I think I should give it another chance.

What kind of problems are you having with it? FTF, FTE, etc?

I don't think it is the gun I think it is me. I shoot revolvers a lot and making the switch is a little more tricky with this xd. I shoot a couple of rounds and I have a hard time holding onto it and my hand starts to hurt and I'm terribly inaccurate with it. But like I said I think it is me and not the gun.

The difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is doing something wrong and not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better, but doing it anyway. Don't be stupid!

Would you mind if I fired it in the future? I'm curious which I'd like better. Though I haven't fired either at this point

What did he say was the issue? A co-worker of mine has a gen 4 17 that he LOVES.... He has not said it has had any problems.
