Are we allowed to keep tortoise shells we find out there? If we are, this one is in my garage. If not, we left him out there.

The round tin at the bottom left reads "California Blasting Cap Co.". Hard to see, but there is a lion logo on it. I'll gently try to clean it up later.

The tin at the top held the wooden container at the bottom. Opened it up and it was half full of very fine gun powder. After all these years, it still flashes when lit.

Last picture of the trip.

This is a rock we came across well away from other trails. It appears to be etched with "1870".

This would pre-date the town of Goodsprings by about 40 or 50 years. Goodsprings began permanent buildings around 1910.

Here's a little more perspective. The Declaration of Independance was signed July 4, 1776.

Escape the wife? I still enjoy her company.

I have some medical issues to sort. I'll get back to you on that. Maybe so.

A little camping trip to Twin Point last weekend. The Arizona Strip never lets me down.

Very cool pictures, Poison. How long is the drive there?

That's a lot of gear you have. Bet that one missing aux light cover is driving you nuts isn't it? Had I known you needed one, I would have kept the KC cover I found at Cottonwood Pass.

Powr, if you still want to go, Monday will work for me. I feel like checking out a few mines if that's ok with you.

I'm near South Point Casino. Where are you?

Oh, and this is NOT a date and I don't put out.

What kind of work were you wanting? In this town, you really need to know someone to get noticed in a foot tall resume' stack.

Maybe someone here can point you in the right direction.

From Mesquite to Twin Point it is 110 miles one way. (the route I took) I was in no hurry to get to the Point, took about 4 or 4.5 hours from Mesquite.

I lost the light cover in June, on a trip to Kelly Point. I tried to get one at 4 wheel parts, no luck. Next time I order some stuff on line I will order one, or a pair.

Yes, that is a lot of gear. TOOOOOO much gear I need to cut down on the gear.

.
The one I saw was at Cottonwood Pass. I hung it from a Joshua tree. I'm in that area often. If I remember, I'll toss it in the back for you. The one I found was for KC's.

Lots of people here live in the Northside. I think MikeSW and Davidsonlaw are the only other ones here Southeast.

Powr, sent you a PM. It's a naked picture.
