I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.
The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.
So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!
Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?
If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!
I was talking about the stuff that I still need to do... one of them being the tree stump in my front yard. So Andy gets his snatch strap out and tried to pull it up with his jeep. Nothing but tire smoke and the stump just stumped.
Andy, if you don't mind single action, single shot go with the encore, barrels/stocks are infinitely configurable. Don't think the trigger is easily adjustable though. IMO, if you want bolt action, go for the ruger. I don't know much about the other one, but ruger does provide excellent support and they're solidly built.
The trigger is adjustable for overtravel that is about it. However, that doesn't really matter. If the trigger feels good, the trigger feels good. The hardest part about a TC Encore is finding one locally.

Same here!! nothing like a large papa johns with chicken and bacon. It is just another cheap meal brought to you by Papa Johns. Heck I also have a free burger from Red Robin for my birthday.
Too bad not a single dime of that $40K is mine or outta my pocket...
I'm saying you can't replicate it for $20K from my perspective of I'd do 100% of the work myself and I still don't think I'd be able to source all the parts and details needed to replicate that thing that cheap. I'm coming from the world where I just spent $88 of someone else's money on nuts and bolts last week. The details in a full build add up faster then you'd imagine!
Newest ride I own in my driveway is 22 years old, not sure where the idea that I have some expensive exotic ride comes from. LOL
I'm saying that I cannot fathom spending 15k on a vehicle that I would wheel all hard, because I'm a pansy and baby my pile that cost $3000.
And I can't even come close to thinking about romping something I spent 40k on even though its built for it, I dunno why, I just can't haha. I'd be worried.
Then again I can't even imagine owning a 30,000 dollar car, and I have no real desire to.
Never had that! In fact honestly, I've only had papa johns once ever and it was the Thursday night before the race while we were doing our last minute thrashing on the truck to get it read. I'll be using my freebie on a chicken and bacon though now!
And honestly, the amount of money has no influence on how I use a vehicle. I use it accordingly to how it's built...
I wouldn't buy any of them but point being, why does money affect the use of your vehicle? If your name was sir richard branson and you bought an exotic car would you never actually pin it just to see what it would do?

Poor choice in my opinion cause this will do the job much better for half the price.
